Living in Hawaii is living in the USA.

Well excuse me, you in particular, make me feel like you are being rude. but anyways, i didn't know if that would effect the fact that my husband would be living with me, not in hawaii if my cousin were to sponsor him living in hawaii..

would my husband have to be in hawaii for him to sponsor him??

And by the way im not an idiot i know hawaii is a state...

No. The joint sponsor needs to live in the USA and be either a Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident. They do not need to live in the same state as the primary sponsor/petitioner. I thought you were referring to US domicile requirement as there is no same State requirement. Play nice now.

Your cousin will be fine. Make sure you have him send you a copy of his birth certificate or bio page from passport to show he is a USC and if you have him send a copy of his tax transcript he will not have to submit w-2.
