Please help...birth certificate for Nigeria

NVC is requesting RFE for my husbands original birth certificate in which I thought I sent. I submitted the original birth attestation letter from the National Population Commission. Is this not that same thing as his birth certificate? If not where does he need to go to get the birth ceritifcate, how does it look, and how long does it take for him to get it done? Thanks in advance for the information.

The size: It's like an 11 x 18 piece of paper.

Did you keep a photo copy of the birth certificate you forwarded to them?

What exactly did the rfe stated? Did NVC say it's missing out something or the birth cert is not there at all? Let's see what it is they're requesting so that we can assist you better... You can call NVC to clarify ok

if you have the one issued by the National Population Commision. You just have to keep calling and emailing them to tell them that is the certificate they need.

We got similar RFE too. Did not have to obtain a new one.

Yes we submitted the one issued to the National Population commision. Thanks everyone for the information. Its on now. Gotta bring my hubby home. NVC watch out. LOL
