Hi

Please can any one help what forms or with advice as I am a stay at home wife and my husband works on the oil rigs and makes a good income , but I have lived in UK and haven't filed my tax returns, as I have been here since the age of 15 and didn't know :0 how do I do that from uk . My husband and I want to live in the USA as I don't work and my husband Does how can I provide sponsorship , my husband can still work on rigs and commute from USA . not sure if I should go back and get a job/house etc or apply from there ? also does savings make a difference to application.

Any help would be great.

I believe you will need a co-sponsor.

They will accept assets but you have to have A LOT of them and then, it's still not guaranteed.

I don't think "savings" is necessarily a good asset to have.

I think they'd prefer you own physical assets like a house.

As far as going back and getting a job, it's the same thing.

You can get a job and have current paystubs, but they want your most recent tax return and that will show you make BELOW the poverty line, so you still have that working against you.

Thanks for the info but my Husband works in the oil industry and we make considerable amount Above the poverty line as for property did you mean in UK or US as we can buy a property in US before going.

They care about your income earned in the US, not in the UK.

And I mean a property in the US.
