Packet 3- Long DELAY- too LONG

So I have been reading the topics on this forum and seems like there was no solution that came up but it all depended on the Embassy.

My case has been accepted since 10 august 2012, NVC received it by 14th august, 2012 and since then there is no further response from them.

No packet 3, No replies to emails (NVC keeps on replying to contact india-support and india-support keeps on replying to contact NVC)

No solution by the helpline.

Have submitted downloaded packet 3 at the embassy and also through email, still no reply from whomsoever!!!!

Help!!! a little desperate (also frustrating) cry as I feel I am staring into a black hole by now (especially after 3 months of no activities on my case)

I am in the same situation. I called multiple times and send emails but they keep saying wait.

So your case was processed before they changed to the new system. They ddidn't change it until Spetember 26, 2012. Have you got a case number from NVC? Have you called DOS? If not, call DOS @ 202-663-1225 and ask for the status. DOS can tell you, when your case reached the U.S.consulate in India. I am not sure, if you picked Mumbai or New Delhi. the new system "ustraveldocs" is bad, you don't get any good answers from them. They will tell to email them, and you won't get any reply back..! From what I understood from VJ members, New Delhi is better than Mumbai in processing. Good luck to you..!

well when my case was sent to NVC it to several weeks for them to forward it to Embassy in my fiancee country. They were doing national security checks on the both of Us to make sure we were not a threat . one it was sent to his embassy it took a couple ,more weeks before they sent package 3 out. Know we r waiting for package for and its november 2012. They say it will be 6 to eight weeks i pray its sooner.

Yes, I have got a case number. I got a response from NVC recently via email that they have already forwarded the case to the embassy in India.

OPted for New Delhi.

After contacting the india-support , I got a reply after a long time that they have already sent out the packet3 on august 30,2012.

Which I havent received.

Now I have shifted place so new problem arises. How could i get them to resend it?

I never received it the first time too!

Will calling DOS help? Will try it anyways . Thank you so much! If you have any more information on what could I do, please share I appreciate it.

As for my case, I just got an email that they have sent out the pasket 3 on august 30. It has been 12 weeks and I havent received it!!! and I shifted apartments in november so now I have a new address. my problems intensifies now

How do I get them to resend the whole package at the new address since I havent received the earlier one too!

Well you said you were waiting for packet 3? or packet 4?
