My passport is placed on hold

Hi all,

I just found out that there is a hold on my passport due to the arrear to child support from previous marriage (which I am current making payment however because the arrear amount is greater than the requirement so the department of child support put a hold on my passport) and I have few questions hopefully members here can shed some lights for me

1) We already got NOA2 approval, our case is in consulate and waiting for interview date. Would this passport-hold cause any issue?

2) I would like to travel to my fiancee's country on the date of her interview. Can I still travel there and come back? Since my passport is stive active/valid for another 5 years.

Please help.

Thanks.

You can travel on a valid passport. You just can't renew it until the hold is lifted.
