I was approved today :D but they won't stamp my passport yet. For my application I had to send away for a police record from my time in Germany, it never even occurred to me to have that translated.

Totally my fault as I should have thought of it, but as soon as I get an official translation they will stamp my Visa :-D

The moral is, if it's not in English, get in translated :-D

It's written in the list of documents to bring to the interview. London website:

Translations
: All documents not in English must be accompanied by certified English translations. The translation must include a statement signed by the translator that state that the translation is accurate. Only one copy is needed. Note: Applicants are also required to submit the original document, in the original language.

You can get anybody fluent in German to translate it. Doesn't have to be a paid service. The person "certifies" that are fluent in English and German and that the document translation is complete and correct. Sample of a certification found on this page http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextchannel=fe529c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD&vgnextoid=ff053d146a7ee010VgnVCM1000000ecd190aRCRD

FYI: They won't "stamp" your passport. They will glue in a visa that covers an entire page. Congratulations. Almost there.
