UAE Police Clearance...Please Help.

Hello everyone and thank you in advance for your help. I was hoping that someone could help us please. We are hearing two different things and want to make it sure that we don't have any unecessary delays for our K1 Visa.

My fiance has worked in UAE for 12 months and we know that police clearances are needed if you are abroad for more than 6 months, but according to the USCIS website it says that you can ONLY obatain a police clearance from Dubai if you are physically there. My fiance said that she has spoken to a Filipina who just had her interview and she did not have a police clearance from Dubai and was given a 221g, even after her American fiance called the US Embassy in Manila and they told him that there was NO NEED TO obtain from Dubai.

Does anyone know what the correct answer is? Do you think it was just a tough CO? Please help and thank you again.

Yes, Police Report is unavailable if your not present in the country. That said, CO will not ask if since they already know that.

Available, only if applicant is physically present in the UAE.

Police certificates may be obtained by any person, regardless of nationality, by personally appearing at the Central Police Headquarters located in the emirate of residence or former residence. When appearing to request a police certificate, the applicant should provide recent photographs, a letter from the requesting authority, the date of residence in the emirate, and their passport.

Not available by mail. Post recommends that consular officers waive the general requirement to obtain police certificates unless the applicant lives in the UAE.

You recently had an issue with getting a Police Clearance from UAE which you posted. My fiance also worked in the UAE for a year and we are concerned with running into the same issue. The interview is scheduled in April. I noticed that your VISA was ultimately approved, could you please let me know what happened so I have a better Idea on how to proceed? Thank you so much.
