my wife had her CR-1 interview today at the Islamabad embassy and was given a blue paper stating they can't issue the visa right now as she did not have the union council divorce certificate. She had her NADRA certificate. Does this mean that after she submits that she is automatically in administrative processing? They kept her passport and gave her a token #.

Told her to submit the document via American Express courier service and they will notify her when her passport is ready for pickup.

Also how long is that taking these days for Pakistan?

thanks in advance.

Hi Ali k,

It seems like they asking your wife to provide Union Council Divorce certificate (Which is usually used to be in URdu) not the NADRA issued Divorce certificate.

Could you tell us that who was Divorced? You OR her? Was She married before and got Divorced OR too khulla OR You was married before got divorced OR khulla?

Here is the link for the topic on Union Council Divorce cettificate and it also has attached example of Union Council divorce certificate in Urdu.
