Hello Everyone. :) We are so excited now    We have our status updated to POST DECISION ACTIVITY On the USCIS website. They granted approval of our I-129f. We have a question.. Our schedule and travel to the US is complicated.. My fiancee is moving and changing jobs in addtion, we have two children each  We are making plans for their school and other activities. This makes our schedule very tight. We are trying to get as much planning time as possible. Here's the question at this point can we call the NVC and obtain our case number to use for the medical exam and interview or do we have to wait on the letter from NVC and use this for scheduling the medical and interview? Thank you so much in advance for your helpful reply. :help:

Give it few days and then call NVC for MNL case #. Once assigned, you could immediately pay the visa fee and schedule the interview appointment on the next business day.

Congrats and good luck!!

That's great. So, we do not have to have a copy of the letter from NVC to present at the medical exam or interview.. is that correct? Thank you so much!

Congradulations on your NOA2!!!

You do NOT need a copy of the NVC letter to schedule your interview or attend your medical exam. Once you pay your visa fee you can schedule your interview online and immediately after you pick your date you can elect to have the confirmation emailed to you. I put my Fiancee's email address and clicked send then I put my email address and clicked send again and we both have it in our email now.

MNL case #, visa fee and valid passport is all you need to schedule interview appointment. You'll need that interview confirmation to do your medical at St Luke's. If your fiance receives the hard copy to his home address, just have him scan and email it to you then you'll print it. It nice to have but not required.

Yes, you'll call NVC after few days that you've received your NOA2 then they'll give you MNL case #. With the MNL case # you'll be able to pay the visa fee and schedule the interview. You don't need to wait for your case to get sent out to the embassy. It could take few days or like us, took them 3 weeks before they've forwarded it using DHL. If you want to wait for it that's fine. Once they've forwarded it, your fiance will receive letter saying NVC have completed processing your case.

Send me private message if you have other questions.

Good luck!
