Copied from K-1 forum, did you get your packet back??

I'm copying this from the K-1 forum to also receive feedback on other Canadians experiences.

Our POE was Sept. 19th 2012 and we got married on Oct. 13th 2012. I am wanting to start the paperwork for AOS and am reading over some of the information regarding what is needed in order to submit it. By the looks of it, it is the same stuff we had submitted with our K-1 example the vaccination history, original BC etc. etc. So my question is do we get out packet back?? And if we do when do we get it?? I'd hate to have to pay for more copies of this stuff when it was already sumbitted.

Did any of you receive you packet back after POE or did you have to get all the paperwork required for AOS all over again???

No, you do not get the packet back. The packet is instead forwarded to a USCIS centre. You have to submit copies of everything again, and yes... more passport photos! Yeah it's a very redundant process but that's how it goes.
