Hello,

So my husband and I are trying to gather up everything we need to get the CR1 sent off. My children and I went and got our passport style photos done and were given two copies of each photo as usual for passport photos. As per usual there is also the defining stamp on the back of each photo showing that the photos are legitimate & to code for passport pics and also leaving a line for a guarantor's signature, just testifying that the photos are in the true likeness of each person.

My question is - since these photos are not for passports do we still need to find a guarantor to sign the backs of the photos? If so, are the qualifications for guarantor the same as they would be in a passport application or are there guidelines somewhere that I can take a look at for who to use as a guarantor for photos for the cr1?

Might seem like a seriously unintelligent question but it's better safe than sorry!

Thanks everyone

:)

Thank you very much. I actually just found the thread for requirements on the VJ website - this site is so helpful! I followed a link to a more detailed explanation of the requirements for the photos which is idiot-proof... If anyone is looking for similar info here it is: http://travel.state.gov/visa/visaphotoreq/visaphotoreq_5334.html

Good but know there are no dumb, idiot questions. You were brave enough to ask and someone out there is saying phewgood.gif that you asked,. Always come back and ask anytime. I was on these pages 9 months before I filed asking everything down to staples or paperclips for my petition. Here we all understand. Happy petition filing.
