Do I have to furnish a copy of DS 230 on the interview?

Hi guys! I was scheduled for an interview this coming thursday. All my docs and pictures were ready. But out of nothing, i wondered if DS 230 is still needed to bring by an applicant eventhough as I remembered we sent that form already at the NVC and I also saw from other post here that when they arrived at the embassy they show the DS forms and an appointment letter? What is it? Any info will be much appreciated.

Thank you in advance! :)

Very interesting....I just chatted to my wife yesterday and she told me to email her a copy of the DS-230.

Thankfully I scanned a copy to my computer before I send to NVC.

Our interview is this coming wednesday.

I will be watching this topic to know the answer also.

Oh! I don't have any scanned copy but I can provide and fill up a new one...

Anyway, I hope before our scheduled interview we get to have an answer from the VJer's who were done from the interview. :)

My wife said something about showing the DS-230 to the guard along with the interview letter before entering the embassy, but I did not read anything about that on the US embassy-Manila website.

I wonder if she saw that on VJ.

I don't understand why they would need 2 visa applications, but I emailed her a copy of the original anyway. Also she asked me to send her a receipt showing that we paid the DS-230 fee.

I saw a post in some forum of this site. I just dont remember it where in particular.

Well, that confused me. Since it's one of the document that is required to send at the NVC by the applicant, why do we have to provide or bring another one? thought it was sent at the USEM by the NVC along with other applicant's important docs.

If you gt a clarification on this, would u mind to share it with me..

Thanks!

This is the visa application....the whole purpose of the interview....the most important document. Part 1 already signed, Part 2 waiting to be signed at the interview.

IMHO, it is best to have a signed copy of DS-230 for the interview.

Even though it was submitted during the NVC stage, we were asked to furnish another DS-230 during the pre-interview.

It never hurts to have copies of everything. Hope all goes well! Good luck with your interview!

During our interview, I brought along a new set of DS230,

I was just prepared in any eventualities, but somehow during the screening of the Filipina screener,

she did not bother to ask me for the other copy, instead, she just used correction tape to change the dates

on our DS230, and then asked me to signed them, she did not give us a hard time or anything,...

So I guess, it will depend on the consul that would screen and interview you,

it doesn't necessarily mean that you provide them the same copy that you submitted to the NVC,

you can just make another set and have it filled up just in case....

Good luck,...
