Sample of checklist letter from NVC, anyone??

Hi K1ers!

Can someone please post a sample of a checklist letter you received from the NVC? You can remove all your details on it, I just need to see what it looks like. I'm supposed to have a checklist letter but I didn't receive it, and I need it to get the police certificate.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean. There is no such thing as a "checklist letter" from the NVC. The NVC will only send the petitioner a letter saying they have received & processed your petition and sent it on to the consulate. The consulate will then send the beneficiary further information on how to proceed and what documents to mail to them.

Aww thanks for helping :) However, this is not what I'm looking for. This is probably specific to India, I think. The NVC is supposed to send a checklist letter with the applicant's case number, requesting for the police certificate. Without this letter, the passport office won't issue me the certificate. This requirement is only in my state in India :\

Which consulate you're applying from? NVC will not send any checklist as far as I know. The forwarding Consulate will do that. NVC will only send letter to the Petitioner saying the case is completed and they've forwarded it to the corresponding Consulate of the beneficiary. Looks like HK12 got the right link for you, http://newdelhi.usembassy.gov/ivpacket309k1.html. You might want to ask the regional forum for India to get the appropriate response.
