check out our full timeline in the link in my signature.

As far as what is next, once they have the physical file, they will set an interview date. I ended up calling them and finding out what the interview date was. Good thing I did, because my wife didnt get her appointment letter until one week prior to her interview. She had already had her medical before that, but if she would have waiting until receiving the interview appointment letter to do her medical, she would have only had a day or 2 to spare.

I would call the embassy back next week to see if they have the file yet and if they have set an interview appointment yet.

ginomirelle,

My case has been approved for expedited processing as well last Friday. I'm planning to call NVC again on Monday to find out if they have sent the file to US embassy yet. There's no use in calling US embassy if they have received the documents if NVC hasn't sent them yet. I don't know whether you're done with your medical at St. Luke's but I had my mom printed the email from NVC saying the expedited processing was approved. I also scheduled an interview for her in http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph/index.html. St. Luke's requires an interview date for the online registration. So, I printed the confirmation letter from that website so my mom can bring it to her to St. Luke's. The US embassy will not interview you prior the approval of your medical exam. My mom is planning to go to St. Luke's on Tuesday 10/02.

I just sent an email to IVMNLAppointments@state.gov asking when can my mother go to the US Embassy after her file has been received from NVC and after she has been in her medical exam. I'll let you know when they responded. I expect a reply sometime Wednesday next week. Let's keep each other posted of updates.

batibot,

I'm really glad that you had posted your expedited procesing experience in the other thread. It has served as my guide in this process. Thank you!

ginomirelle,

I just checked your timeline and you have an interview date of Nov. 8. Did you schedule that yourself?

My mom had her medical and she was told to wait 2 months to make sure that she's cleared. :( On the positive note, I found an earlier interview date of Oct. 23. So, she'll try to go to the embassy to find out if she can continue with the interview without medical clearance. The worse case is that they'll send her back after her medical is cleared which isn't bad because she lives close to the US Embassy and is already retired. My mom's name on her birth certificate doesn't match her name on my birth certificate so I'm expecting the US Embassy to require a DNA test. It'll be good to get started on that if they do require it.
