I just received email from NVC to make the IV payment. I also just did online and now waiting for my status to change to PAID before sending in my DS-230 package. I expect the status will change to PAID on Monday, 9/24.

All documents are with my parents in my home country. My sister is visiting me in US 8 Oct. Wondering whether I should ask my parents to mail these documents now or just ask my sister to bring them over during her visit? I know, it is only 2 weeks from now, but I just can't wait...:)

Wondering what is the timeline to have NVC complete the case from the moment they received my DS-230 package? I assume this is the final package before the interview process, am I right? Also, how long before my parents will be notify for their interview after the case completed at NVC?

Oh wow! That is super-fast...:)

Did you receive email from NVC when the case is completed?

Or you just call them and get the information through the phone?

Have you received information about the interview yet?

I sent an email to NVC asking about whether my case has been forwarded to the consulate before I even sent my DS-230 package. It takes them a few days to get to the email so I sent the inquiries in advance. Been sending email to them almost everyday asking about the interview. So far the replies that I've been getting says:

The NVC completed its processing of XXXXXXXXXX'x visa petition.

The petition is waiting for an appointment to be scheduled at the U.S.

Embassy or Consulate in MANILA, PHILIPPINES. When an interview

appointment is scheduled, the petitioner, principal applicant,

designated agent, and attorney of record (if applicable) will be

notified.

I expect to get an interview schedule by second week of October. Several people from my consulate with case complete from Sept. 13 and earlier got an October interview. Too bad my case didn't finish earlier. :D

So, it seems within 2-3 weeks I should have my NVC case completed after they received my DS-230 package.

I just checked the online payment status. It is still "IN PROGRESS" despite I made the online payment on Friday, 9/21.

I decided to have my sister hand-carry all the documents and mail it out early October.

Hope to have the case completed in October...

I read other posts, it seems it takes another 2 months for the Embassy to schedule the interview after NVC case is completed.

Is this 2 months a standard? Or depends on embassy as well?

So, do my parents receive same day notice whether their visa is approved or not during the interview?

It depends on the embassy. Some people whose case were completed a few days before me were scheduled for October interview. Mine was completed on 9/17 and I've seen people with interview scheduled whose case were completed on 9/12 for October.

Hey ca_babe,

Wondering whether you have got your interview schedule?

It has been almost a month since your case completed at NVC right?

I just mailed out my DS-230 package and NVC should have received it today.

So, I need to call up to check the status to see whether it has been completed at the NVC end, am I correct?
