Original Civil Documents for DS230

Hi all,

Since I am petitioning for both my parents, I wonder when I send in the DS230 package, can I submit my original birth cert and marriage cert in say my dad's DS230 bundle and then photocopy my birth cert and marriage cert in my mum's DS230 bundle?

Obviously, I do not have 2 original copies of my birth cert and marriage cert.

I plan to mail both bundles in the same package.

Anyone have done this before? Would this work?

Thanks!

Yes you can, but you need to attach a note stating that the original copies are attached toyour father's pile and include his nname and file number. That's what I did and it worked....

Thanks for the information! Did you just paste a post-notes then?

I tried this too, but listed it in a cover letter. Just sent it last Friday and haven't heard anything yet, one way or the other.

Good luck!

I just called to NVC and they confirmed that I send provide the photocopy of the civil documents if I have already provided the original one in the other related case. What I need to do, just provides a note and states that the original document is in the whatever case number.
