I recently mailed in my affidavit of support for my I130 for my husband and NVC just replied saying I need additional info. However, I don't know what to do, sorta confused..I am 20 years old, a college student living with my parents, and I have never worked so I don't have proof of current employment or any employment or any tax returns. That's why I have my aunt helping me out with everything financially as the joint sponsor. So, the question is, do I fill out the I864 and my aunt? How do I fill out the paper if I haven't worked? Do I just write it out on an explanation like they said (A written statement/explanation is required if you are/have been unemployed, retired or dependent as to why tax returns were not filed)? Please help! Thank you!! and below is what they emailed me. I know some of my questions are obvious, but I just want everything right this time when I mail it back, so thanks for any help. I appreciate it!

NVC has reviewed the financial evidence submitted. However, additional information is

required to complete the financial evidence review. The checklist below indicates missing or

incomplete documents.

This was a checklist for me:

[x] {BLANK_01} (sponsor/joint sponsor) must complete and submit an I-864.

[x] It appears that there is no proof of current employment (a recently dated job letter or pay stub), or

self-employment status (a recently dated letter on business letterhead or a business license).

[x] A written statement/explanation is required if you are/have been unemployed, retired or dependent

as to why tax returns were not filed.

[x] The listed income tax documents/IRS statements for the years marked below are missing/incomplete

(if you have lost any of the requested tax information, contact your local IRS office to obtain a copy)

(Only Federal returns (not state or local) are acceptable unless the sponsor's income was earned in Puerto

Rico.)

• Schedules are missing for the year(s): [x] 2011 [ ] 2010 [ ] 2009 [ ] 2008.

• Federal income tax returns, literal printouts from IRS (RTFTP) or a Letter 1722 issued by the IRS are

missing/incomplete for the year(s): [x] 2011 [ ] 2010 [ ] 2009 [ ] 2008.

• W-2 forms are missing/incomplete for the year(s): [x] 2011 [ ] 2010 [ ] 2009 [ ] 2008.

[ ] DO NOT CHECK THIS LINE

[ ] Information provided for line 25 value: {BLANK_06}.

[ ] DO NOT CHECK THIS LINE

[x] You have not enclosed an explanation of why you were not required to file income taxes under

Federal tax laws for any/all of the 3 most recent tax years. (Residence outside of the U.S. or retirement

does not exempt a U.S. Citizen or LPR from filing a Federal tax return. Individuals who were required to

file Federal returns but failed to do so are advised to file late returns.)

and this for my aunt:

[x] You as a joint sponsor have not provided proof of U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent resident

status.

Rico.)

• Federal income tax returns, literal printouts from IRS (RTFTP) or a Letter 1722 issued by the IRS are

missing/incomplete for the year(s): [x] 2011 [ ] 2010 [ ] 2009 [ ] 2008.

Its a pity you did not come on VJ before and check this out.

You must send the I-864 without showing any income since you are not working. The letter explaining this must also be sent in with it.

Your aunt should send the documents which they need from her as well.
