do child under 2 years old really need to have pssport when traveling internationally?

Here is a US DoS website that may provide you with some information about US requirements:

http://travel.state.gov/passport/get/minors/minors_834.html

Be advised that requirements may change from country to country.

Completed: K1/K2 (271 days) - AOS/EAD/AP (134 days) - ROC (279 days)

Yes,,, and they need a ticket too (international travel requirement),,, even if they are a lap child. Usually costs about 10% of your ticket price.

Make sure you do not wait until departure date,,, or it will be about 10% of a last minute ticket price. A couple going to Korea had to pay more

then $400 for a last minute child ticket,,, where as our daughters lap-child ticket was $200 more or less,,, can't remember.

Regards,

dc

yes they do

if the father of the child sign his/her child BC...then you need a letter from the father that his allowing his child to travel w/you...if not, they won't let him/her go out the country....

The longer it takes to happen the more you'll appreciate it when it does!

That's not exactly true. Even though it is a good idea to have the letter, nobody asked my wife for the letter when she and my daughter (1 year old) flew ahead of me to the Philippines.
