Hi,

My F2A case for husband was completed by June 2011 and was waiting since then for my PD 11-4-10 to be current for an interview date. I got my citizenship and have requested to upgrade my case on 8-29-12 and am waiting for an approval. I believe our case will be upgraded to IR1 as our wedding date is 5-31-2010 and we have passed 2 yrs. Meanwhile, I would like to get some advice on some queries.

1. Since I have not provided 2011 tax return when I applied, do I submit it when my husband goes for interview? Also do I provide my recent 6months of pay stubs?

2. Does my husband also have to fill out an I864 form showing his financial status?

3. I see most cases' applicants find out their interview date via NVC calls, then how long does it take to receive packet 3?

4. Do we wait to get the packet to schedule medical or can we make medical appointment prior?

Can someone please brief me on all these queries? If there is any VJ member having a similar timeline or have similar experiences please reply so I can have someone to chat with and get some relief of how things are going and vice versa.

That is correct, you will be in IR1 not CR1... Your husband can mention it during interview, they will change it. I saw that happening number of times.

1. Yes, you will provide him 2011 return.

2. No, I864 is your contract with US government as a sponsoring USC. (part 28 and 29 did talk about sponsored immigrant information but that is optional... I have never heard that people enter any thing there.

3. NVC will schedule interview and send you email if email address provided. Sometimes, you have to call too. Before all this, your case with NVC should be completed. (http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/LingChe_NVC_ShortCut)

4. Yes, you have wait for interview letter.

Good Luck.

Excellent! Thank you so much Deep. So where or how does my husband show his financial status? He doesn't have to, because I have enough income(> 125%) to show but we thought it could be an added support to the case. So now I am not sure if we have to have his bank statements or property posession to be added with the documents or not. please advise.
