Ok...its been a month and a half now almost since we had our interview in Dallas.Everything went smoothly but the guy told us that he doesnt tell anyone if they are approved or not.The only thing missing was my husbands new employer letter which he mailed to them 2 days after and then again a week after that at the address they gave us and we still havent heard a word from them.Is this normal??That same guy that was doing the interiew also told me that from what he sees everything seems ok and that even FBI check came back and was okay that they just have to wait for that other A-file to come in(im guessin the K1 cuz this is my first time in the US)So wheres the delay coming from??Should I be panicking??I called the 1800 number and they said the only thing they have is that the case is pending approval and local offices dont take no phone calls. And online status havent been updated since march when they received the RFE!!

Anyone in similar situation??HOW LONG IS TOO LONG??

Our mailbox doesn't have a name on it, but we live in an appartment complex, anyway, we got our GC's fine:)

Infopass seems like a good idea, you won't be in a worse position after going.

Good luck, hope it comes through for you soon.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

I have been waiting for about 3 months already since interviewer told us we got approved and expected GC within a few weeks. I also made an infopass last month only to know my aos is pending. The person at the window did not know why it is pending becuase the reason for the pending is not in the record normally on their pc. The supervisor at the window told me that pending might be at interviewer supervisor, or additional documents or FBI name check. I suggest you make an infopass to check what is your status now. Either AOS approved or pending. If it is still pending, you should ask for the reason.

FBI namecheck more than likely. My wife has been waiting since Oct, 2004. She had her interview in Feb, 2006, and was told she had to wait for the FBI namecheck to be completed b4 she got her greencard.

Pat

Filed for I-485 AOS 7-12-04

File went to FBI for Name Check on 10-08-2004

AOS interview 2-16-2006

Told that AOS approved "Pending Name Check"

Refiled for EAD 12-12-2006

EAD approved 3-04-2007

I-131-AP filed 2-18-2007

I have written both Senators of my state with no luck.

I have written my district congressman with no luck.

They all say it is out of their hands.

I even wrote GW Bush a letter asking for help , but got no reply.

Hi Pat,

According to your time line, your wife had 2 interviews? One in Feb 2005, and 2nd one is in Feb 2006. That is too much...lol

No its not FBI check - he told me after i asked "so we still dont know if i am approved or not??" he said he doesnt tell anyone at the interview yes or no but that to him everything seems fine and then went back and looked in the file and said that even FBI check came back ok,and that about 90% of cases gets approved anyway so we just need to mail him that emplyer letter(which we did) and that he has to wait for my other A-file (again guessin its my K1 file since i dont have nothing else) so i really dont know.... :-(
