Hi everyone, a little over 3 months ago we applied for an N600/Certificate of Citizenship for our son. We had not heard anything except for just the receipt letter. Today we got a letter from local USCIS office saying to sign the enclosed photos (of my son, these are the photos which we sent in with the N600 application) and to mail them the green card and the signed photos. Does this mean it is approved or what does this mean? The letter said something like they would send seperate correspondence once decision is made, etc. But they asked us to sign the photos and mail them to the USCIS office along with the green card. Thoughts? Also, should I hand deliver them to USCIS or mail them via FedEx or what? I would really appreciate some advice and wisdom.

I mailed both the signed photos and the green card in this morning, via UPS. Do you think this means it is approved or what? Anyone heard of this before? Thanks!

Looks like there is a possibility it is approved. I am not sure why asked for the green card to be mailed. I gave mine to at the oath ceremony. So I am assuming it is approved since they asked for the green card also.

Hi WMoore,

It sure sounds to me that you child was approved. I've heard this before. some are asked to email the gren card and some others (like in my child's case) are asked to bring to the green card and pick up the certificate in person. Kids under 14 y/o do not require to take the oath. Do not what criteria they use to determine who has to go to pick up the Certificate in person or who receives it via mail. Only i can tell you that i live under 1 mile from the Immigration building so it may be the reason why i was required to pick up the certificate in person, I really don't know. Anyway, I'm very certain it was approved. you should heard from them the next days. Keep an eye in the mail box. Congrats.

Yes, your case approved, congratulations!!! We did the same with my younger daughter, - we've got a letter asking for green card, sent it, and after a few weeks we had her certificate. We signed her pictures when we sent petition, it is the only difference. I told you, don't worry, you are almost done with it
