Hey all,

I am new here and have read so many things about what is needed and not needed. Some sites say one thing and others say something different. I also have seen on here info that is not even on the US Immigrations website.

I want to be sure of everything and have as little errors as possible.

I recently got married over seas and now want to bring my wife here.

I knew the basics of forms but like i said i see so many different things.

Can anyone point me in the correct direction on this.

Thanks

File for CR-1/IR-1 visa.

What is a IR-1 / CR-1 Visa?

IR-1 / CR-1 Visas are immigrant visas issued to foreign spouses of US Citizens. After the US citizen spouse files (and has approved) the proper petition with the USCIS, the foreign spouse will complete the visa process completely outside the US. Upon approval and once issued, the foreign spouse may enter the US with their visa and pass through the arrival Port of Entry, where they will become a Permanent Resident immediately. They will receive a Permanent Resident Card (Green Card) in the mail at their US Address within a few weeks.

Yeah but what is really needed for paperwork. Seams like everyplace says something different. Also what counts as bona fide marriage proof. Again so many sites and so many answers. What have others done and it was or was not accepted.
