Hello all,

First of all, it's great to see so many people helping others with their guidance and advice on this forum. Bravo.

Finally, after six long months, our I-129F petition was approved today. At this point we don't want to wait a second longer than is necessary to be together again, so I'd like to ask what can I do to make the rest of this process go as fast as possible. I have read about case numbers, arranging the medical, forms for the embassy etc, but it would be good to get a kind of fool-proof checklist to help with all this. FYI, I (the beneficiary) am from the UK.

Many thanks in advance!

Congratulations (F) VCS is really very slow indeed, so spare a thought for some us who are still waiting. I'm a May filer (sigh)

Check the following link: http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide or you can go straight to "guides" tab which has a list of things the beneficiary will need to obtain prior to the interview. Hope this helps and good luck with the rest of your journey!

This UK list and thread will help you http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/350185-london-2012-k1s-from-noa2-to-interview-thread/

Each consulate is different so best to get London info now. The police certificate link changed but is corrected farther down that page. You won't need as much as the VJ guide states. There's really no reason to have a copy of the whole I-129F packet. You only need a new letter of intent if you let the petition expire before sending in your forms. You can read that in the London letter that has been posted in the thread.

Thank you both for the info, it is much appreciated. How soon can I arrange the medical and interview? I would like to be back in the States for September 19th as it is my fiancee's birthday...

As for the medical and the interview, your embassy will mail you a notice and a date of your interview. Usually, depends on the embassy, they require a medical exam prior to that date at a clinic/doctor they assigned, call and arrange a visit to the doctor's asap. All you can do is call the embassy to confirm that they received your paperwork. Wait for them to schedule you for an interview, I don't believe you can rush them to schedule you. After your NOA2 everything moves fast, the longest wait is over. Start planning your wedding. Good luck!
