I'm an American man living with my Vietnamese wife in Hanoi. We're going to submit our I-130 packet in a few days, and I'm concerned about us receiving future mailings. We'll send our packet to Chicago via FedEx, but what about us receiving mail about our case? I've heard from people in Hanoi that they've never received ANYTHING and had to rely on internet and/or email updates. Any advice and/or insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have an address, but I've heard from some Americans living in Hanoi that the process is quicker if you're living abroad (which I am), and that putting a U.S. address could confuse stuff since I live with my wife IN Hanoi.

having a lawyer may help with the communication issue... I would be leary as well if I had to rely 100% on the VN postal system.
