Authorization to Travel with a Child

Hi,

I will be traveling to the US under a b1/b2 visa. I will also be bringing my son with me who is a USC (through his father). Flying out to the Philippines I will not be needing any authorization to travel with my son. However, upon going back, I will still be bringing my son to the Philippines. Will I need any authorization form from his dad about this? We are not married and the child is using my last name.

I just wanted to figure this all out before the travel so that I can inform his dad about it.
