Can someone help me fill in the holes? My husband has an interview on Sept. 4th. ASSUMING he's accepted, what is the timeline?

1) He's British, do they take his passport? Do they give him a new one?

2) When would he get his visa?

3) I believe after he gets his Visa, he has 6 months to leave Britain, is that correct?

SO SORRY, if this has been answered before.

I swear I used the search feature first.

I know my timeline sucks, but my husbands P.O.E was on January 7th, 2013!

Greencard in hand! After almost 4 years, WE DID IT!

At the embassy in London--

1. They keep his passport so the visa can be stuck on a page in the back. It covers a full page. He pays for the delivery back to him at the courier counter inside the embassy.

2. Usually in 3-5 days, the courier will deliver his passport with the visa inside. It can take longer.

3. The London embassy website says the visa is good for 6 months past his medical exam date, not interview date.
