Hello vjers!

I have received a letter from the American Consulate in Frankfurt today and I think this is the so-called package 3, but I am not sure and I have a few questions...

1. The letter consisted of only one sheet of paper telling me that they are ready to begin the process of my application. They refer me to http://germany.usembassy.gov where I should go to step 3. There, it says the following:

If your K-Visa petition has been approved, the following documents should be submitted immediately:

DS-230 (pdf)

DS-156 (pdf - in duplicate)

DS-156K (pdf - do not sign form; you are required to sign it before a consular officer on the day of your interview)

DS-157 (pdf - for all male applicants between the ages of 16-45)

Copy of your passport data page

U.S. Consulate General

Immigrant Visa Section

Giessener Strasse 30

60435 Frankfurt

DPO Address:

U.S. Consulate General

Immigrant Visa Unit

PSC 115 Box 1011

DPO AE 09213-0115

There is nothing else, and I haven't gotten the so-called checklist. I thought they would somehow send it to me or give me at least a link to a recent one. Will they send this checklist to me or do I use the one that I found online in a thread here: http://germany.usembassy.gov/root/pdfs/visa/instructions_for_fiancee_-visa_applicants01-2008.pdf? Also, the paper gives an information about the visa fee payed to Roskos & Meier and it says that I should submit it with my document checklist (ha!) and the required documents. Hm.

Furthermore, I am confused about the two addresses given. I guess I send my docs to the first address?

Thanks a lot and good luck on your journeys!

Oooohkay, I just looked into step 4 on that website and there is the checklist. I guess I can start now :hehe:

Still, when you are so eager to follow every step it is confusing that step 4 is not mentioned in the letter... So I guess, I'm fine now. I hope
