I live in Manila for about 3 years now, I was seperated since last year but never filed for divorce.

I am a USC Filipina, married to a fiilpino in the states of California..and I am desperate to file for divorce. His is not making it easier on me.

I just want to get this over with, but I cannot go home right now due to financial reasons and for my school. I am studying in Manila.

Please advise if there is any other way....crying.gif

Not sure about California Laws but when I was on assignment overseas I filed and finished my divorce that was uncontested via PDF and Faxes. My ex was in agreement so the divorce went smooth. I would contact an Attorney in your home State (California) for a free consultation. Use Skype and just call around and send emails to see which Attorney will schedule you. If your Husband fights the divorce then it will be state specific whether you need to return for mediation, hearings etc. My 2nd Ex wife :o:bonk: lived in another State in USA and they allowed her to phone into the mediation which was State required. No third ex wife for me.. This is it  Good Luck..

Well at first my husband agreed to it..and honestly this should be easy since its a "Summary of Dissolution" married less than 5 years..but all of a sudden he was being an A$$ and wouldnt want to sign papers. And just to keep it short - HE CHEATED ON ME while I was here in the Philippines studying pursuing our FUTURE for better stability. Oh well not my lost..I just dont want to carry his last name anymore..augh!! so devastating.

Thanks for the help!!! I will try contacting lawyers. Got magicjack. heheblink.gif
