Visa Approval, port of entry

My Husband has been approved and just wants some info on when he reaches the port of entry at airport in the US. As the petitioner do I have to go Through with him as he has the sealed pack and its a conditional CR-1 or is he OK on his own. I cant find any info on this . I am a US Citizen and will be following him later as I am just waiting for the final stage of my youngest sons visa to be approved and I am in the uk.

He can go through on his own. He will probably be taken into a secondary processing room and if they are busy you might well not be allowed in there with him anyway.

He can't enter the US before you. It involves the domicile part of the I-864 as explained here http://london.usembassy.gov/faq_i864_domicile.html

Note: Your relative may not enter the United States to take up residence prior to your return to the United States. He or she may travel with you, or follow to join you at a later date
