I just got home from work and was hoping for a letter for an interview in London, so was over the moon when it was there. I opened it up and the appointment is for this Tuesday 31 July 9 am. I can't believe they only gave me a couple of days notice as most people I think get around 3 weeks! I have seen some people on here and their interview is in August and they had their letter ages ago.

I don't even know if I can the time off work! then I have to book train, hotel etc I am in a state of panic!

First, just breathe rose.gif

After taking a deep breath, if you still feel like you can't manage getting ready that soon, I know you can reschedule. I'll let someone with more experience speak to how exactly you do that, but you'll be ok. Congrats on a fast interview and I know you will make the best decision for what you can handle.

Cheers star_smile.gif

Don't panic, those are great news. Think it through, and if you definetively can not make it, call the embassy and reschedule, there is no problem. Congratulations on your interview!

Thank you everyone, I am a little calmer now. I have booked a hotel very near the embassy, now I need to book a train. It will be late because I need to work on Monday but the hotel said it wasn't a problem and I could leave my belongings there and collect after interview.

I have a file ready, please confirm I have everything

Interview letter

Passport

Birth certificate plus copy

Adoption certificate one copy

Marriage certificate one copy

divorce certificate one copy

Up-dated Letter of intent from fiance one copy

Affidavit of support one copy

Police certificate one copy

Evidence of relationship etc

Thank you

Would suggest you take photographs of the two of you together. Someone recently went to interview and was asked for that. This is unusual but could indicate things are changing

Yep, that was me! Luckily we had some photos just in case :) If you have 10 or so photos, that should be fine. Who knows if they'll even continue asking for it or if my situation was a one-off.

The only thing I didn't see on your list was the MRV receipt. Add that one in!

Don't forget to bring 2 passport photos! And a debit/credit card to pay for delivery of visa. Me & Stu are both there on Monday so we'll let you know how it goes! Good luck.
