My Fiance signed and dated this form in blue ink and the I-129F needs to be in black will they be picky about that... he already mailed it to me from U.K. :(

Just a side note as to the history of why black ink versus blue.

Years ago, when copying technology was ancient, documents that had to be recorded, like wills or deeds were usually signed in black ink only because it showed better in copies. There was no legal requirement that it be black. With today's technology, blue ink or black ink doesn't matter when copying.

We typed everything in black ink, but inserted the original signatures and the date in blue ink, because some people here on the forum said that they got RFE's for using black ink for the signatures (USCIS' explanation was that they could not see whether the signature was original or just a copy/fax.)

If this were the case, why wouldn't they change the directions???huh2.gif

Anyhow, just wanted to share the history... Not raise any questionsgood.gif
