Hey all guys, I am newbie but an old reader of vj. Anyway I need help cuz I am confused and started to ge real stress about the whole process. Make long story short, our NOA2 was been approved for over a month now and my hubby told me that I need to complete all the police clearances from countries I lived to start the NVC process. I tried to read and understand the guides on K3/IR-CR1 procedures but it just made more even confused and now its been over a month that our NOA2 had been approved but not yet on NVC process.. Guys sorry about my ignorance and I need help here.Just quick question, what would be the next step after NOA2 arrived in the mail? do I really have to wait for the police clearance from other country and submit it to NVC so we can start and leave NVC and get the packets? Sorry guys too many questions and please enlighten me. I am in Philippines right now and I already requested the police clearance from other country but I have to wait. Now do I really have to wait for that and send it to NVC? it is so confusing now :bonk::crying::bonk:

Have your husband call the NVC to see if the case is there and if you have a MNL case number. He should also update both your e-mail addresses. A lot of the process is just them sending you a link to download the forms and send them in.

Also, yes you have to wait for the police clearances from other countries. You will not get past the NVC stage without them.

Call NVC and ask if a case number has been assigned. This is the first step in NVC. Ask for the invoice identification number as well.

Once you have your case number, e-mail the DS-3032 (Choice of Agent) to NVC. Here is the template: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/Email_DS-3032_form

Meanwhile, you can start gathering up the documents needed for the Affidavit of Support (AOS) and Immigrant Visa (IV) packages - the AOS will be from the petitioner, the IV from the beneficiary. The IV package requires a police clearance from every country you have resided in for more than 6months/1year (not sure which). So yes, you have no other choice but to wait because your case won't be completed at NVC without it.
