Here are my questions, would appreciate any feedback...

1. I751 part 3 quest.7: I had a mva and paid a fine for failure to yield at stop sign. Would this be considered a traffic regulation and can be excluded, according to the statement for this question? I didn't go to court. I had the option of appearing in court or allow judgement, which I allowed judgement and pleaded guilty. It was a matter of points and a fine of around $100++. Damage to person's car caused by me resulted in a write-off of person's car.

2. Do restraining orders show up in the IO's background search? We each had one on each other and were dropped after about 2 weeks. We were separated for the 2 weeks. Have since been to marriage counseling, living together, happier than before. I didn't mention any of this in the application. No criminal charges were filed.

3. My USC spouse has misdemeanors. Did he have to mention them in Part 3 question 7? Or does that only pertain to me, the immigrant? The only thing on my record is the vehicle accident I spoke of earlier. I ticked 'NO'

Thank you.

Insofar as the traffic violations, I would not worry since it is not a criminal charge. Everything shows up in a background check but again your mutual restraining orders are again not a criminal case but a family court matter. The fact that they were dropped in two weeks helps also but be prepared to answer all questions. Finally, the background check is for the applicant and not the USC.

Thank you! We put some really graphic things, but true in our restraining orders. Just checked the copies and they were both dropped in 7 days. Hope those documents don't come back to bite us In the rear end.
