Hi Folks,

I have a couple questions as my wife and I are at the NVC step of our visa journey...

So NVC has received our case and I called and got the case number. Immediately, I used the template on this site and asked my wifey to email the Choice of Agent to NVC. When I talked to a lady at NVC, she said that emailing the choice of agent is acceptable.

However, a couple days after she did that, I got an email with the PDF version of the Choice of Agent form. In that PDF were the instructions "if you are not eligible to use form DS-261 then you must use the enclosed physical form DS-3032." We have to go to Mumbai consulate, which doesn't do electronic processing.

She hasn't received any confirmation from NVC that an agent has been selected. That being said, should we also send in the physical choice of agent form?

I've read on the forums that could lead to delays. Furthermore, I received a PDF saying I could pay the AOS bill, but my home address listed on that PDF is my old address even though it was changed at the USCIS stage.

I'm going to call NVC to get clarifications on Monday, but to ease my weekend paranoia, I was hoping someone could advise on the following questions:

1. Should we send in the physical choice of agent even though my wife already sent email?

2. Can I call NVC and have them correct my address?

3. Should I pay the AOS fee before I get these clarifications or wait?

1. Should we send in the physical choice of agent even though my wife already sent email?

No need. After you pay the AOS bill, your DS3032 will be accepted.

If NVC send an email with rejection then you can resend it.

2. Can I call NVC and have them correct my address?

Yes, you must correct your address. Actually, when we got our case number, the operator also asked my mailing address and said they would send something to me but I have nothing received from NVC. Only emails.

3. Should I pay the AOS fee before I get these clarifications or wait?

I'm not sure that. Other people can give your answer.

Although, I think it's not matter because AOS is for the petitioner not principal applicant.

Don't take my advise for this question. B-)
