I recently was able to send in my Choice of Agent form and pay the AOS fee...now I'm wondering...do I have to wait for the NVC to send me instructions for further AOS processing or can I go ahead and prepare the form to send in???

No, you can go ahead and prepare the form to send just make sure the status of the bill shows as PAID.
