Interview questions for spouse in another country

My spouse in in Costa Rica and I am here in the USA, filing the paperwork. We are waiting for an interview appointment and I am wondering what questions could they ask here since I have had no interview to compare answers to. Or will they also schedule an interview with me.

Most of the time, only the beneficiary is interviewed at the Embassy or Consulate.

Also I see that she should bring documents like original birth cert etc, but those have been mailed already with the I130. Shouldnt they have those docs there having been forwarded from the USA, or should I have gotten them all in triplicate originally?

What point in the process are you at exactly, waiting for petition approval from USCIS, waiting for a case number from the NVC, waiting for the NVC to complete review of your file after you have submitted documentation to the NVC(case complete),or have you received a case complete from the NVC and are waiting for an interview date to be scheduled?

I'll address the second part of your post first, did you send your wife's original birth certificate to the NVC or USCIS. If you sent it the NVC, it will be in the file. If you sent it to USCIS and are waiting for NVC document submission, then it will have to be sent again. Beneficiary documents are not submitted to USCIS at the initial filing of a petition and original documents are never submitted to USCIS, only photocopies.

As for questions she might be asked, this link has example questions that she may be asked. Note, the page does say K visas and the way the questions are written are for that visa type, they can easily be modified to fit those who are in the spousal visa process.

We have the case number and I was preparing to submit the AOS packet, and then the IV packet.

The original Birth cert and marriage cert went to the USCIS, I feel a kind of sick now thinking she will have to go through all that over again to get another "Original" birth amd marriage certs. That sets us back weeks again. I assume that it is on file and no way to request them back?
