Hello All,

Need some guidance - We are currently also processing my mother's GC and have the following issue. My parents' marriage was not registered and we have obtained a non registration certificate at the marriage registrar's office. The problem is that it is in the local language and requires translation before it can be submitted. I have the following questions

1. I read online that any able person other than the beneficiary can make the word for word translation and have the document notarized. Is this true? has someone done this?

2. What of the sign and seal in the original document? How is that to be duplicated? I live in mumbai and the document was obtained from Chennai.
