what is ceac? do i need to fill in ds 160? what does your appointment confirmation looks like?! is it the 4 pages letter with embassy map? thanks!

1. CEAC stands for Consular Electronic Application Center, but you don't need it for K1.

2. No, you don't use the DS160 for K visas. Follow this link for instructions: manila.usembassy.gov (click on "forms" to see the forms needed)

3. Yes. You should recieve you appointment confirmation letter by e-mail. It is 3-4 pages with a map to the embassy.

thank you for the confirmation...

by the way, it was written on my appointment letter that is K1 VISA CLASS.... therefore i should be ready for my medical! yepee!!

My fiancee completed her K-1 a couple months ago and I never heard of CEAC.... not sure you did it right.

YOU HAVE YOUR MNL #

(open all of these links then save them to your bookmarks so you have them for easy access)

Embassy:

http://photos.state....3__rtf2_003.pdf (the visa fee amount is wrong, not sure why they don't update the letter, but the rest is good)

The DS-156 can be difficult to complete sometimes, if you have issues try a different web browser. I had problems getting it to print with IE8, Chrome, Firefox, finally got it to print using Safari.

When scheduling online with the embassy you need to include the "XX" at the beginning of the passport number, your passport number IS your receipt number.

Priorty Date; this is the date the NOA 2 was approved.

Make sure to print two copies of the interview confirmation page as you will need one for St. Luke's and the other for the embassy.

St. Luke's:

http://www.slec.ph/u...l#required-docs

http://www.slec.ph/us/registration/

Have copies of passport bio page, confirmation page from scheduling interview online at embassy, and of course the 2X2 photos.

CFO:

http://www.cfo.gov.p...atid=140#ThirdA

Required documents & "OTHER DOCUMENTS" they ask for at CFO: copies of; CENOMAR, certified birth certificate, bio page of passport, visa page from passport, pictures together, from USC - bio page of passport, birth certificate, divorce decree (if been married before) are the most common. The "other documents" clause can be ANYTHING with those nit-wits at CFO.

It gets confusing, because technically the K1 visa is NOT actually an immigrant visa. It's only a visa for 90 days. Although the end ideal of the visa is immigration so it's treated as such. But yes, the DS-160 form doesn't apply for K1 visas (at least in Philippines). So just ignore that.

Also confusing is that on the requirements for the CFO Counseling they list "Original and photocopy of Immigrant Data Summary"

But this also doesn't apply for K1 visa types. Because again, technically a K1 is not an immigration visa type.

on my dash board the visa information is k1 visa,, so i guess i am right.. i just followed the procedure and printed the appointment confirmation,, and on the 3rd page there were instructions including the CEAC confirmation letter,

but G&D already answered my question that it is no longer needed...

as long as i had my appointment letter with date and time, k1 visa class and k visa category i guess im fine
