Try not to stress yourself out about it. Which I know is really difficult but it will all be worth it in the end. I know afterwards I was like why did I put myself through all this stress when everything went fine again?

My husband was exactly the same. Constantly told me to not stress myself out and that everything would be fine. At times I did think he was not taking this seriously at all. However in the end everything went ok and he was right.

Received my green card today. Went a lot faster then the EAD in the card production stage. My husband was all 'what are you going to do now? You'll have to find a new hobby.' What a joker.

Haha..too funny...:) :) :)

Hello Guys!

Congrats to all who have been approved for GC lately. My husband and I wish to experience the same in the near future. Just like what I've been reading here, I, who's the USC, am the one more nervous and my husband is very calm about all this. His patience is just astounding and mine is blah.

Anyway, I just have one quick question. Last August 29th, we received a notification via text that my husband's case status for his I-765 application has been updated and when we checked it online (via uscis.gov site), the status did change to card production but we haven't received any follow-up email or so about it. Is this something common? When does the EAD card usually arrive after card production notice?

I am just wondering because my husband has a friend who can refer him to his company and they want to know when my husband will have his SSN so he can start working.

Any comments is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You will receive another email when your card is mailed. So the card production notice means nothing.

Thank you Linda. We received a text again just now about the same thing. But this time, the date changed from August 29th to Sept. 4th. Did that happen to you as well?

Usually takes 7-10 days to get to you. You will also get a few card production notices as well. So don't panic if you get more then one card production notice.

My friend has been working since she applied for AOS which was at May.

The boss didn't have a problem but she didn't get paid until last week when she finally got her EAD.

I hate for it to backfire in your face though. However this is getting rather silly. I mean how much longer could it possibility take? :/

In all reality, whats the worst that could happen? The EAD and/or GC get delayed? So what? Who'd even know? I'd be working out of status. Not like a million people haven't done THAT before...

I also still have my TN status. Would be for a different company, but again, unless I tried to cross the border, whod know?

And if I get outright rejected for my GC for some reason, my visa would be no good anymore and I'd have to leave the country anyway.

My friend has been working since she applied for AOS which was at May.

The boss didn't have a problem but she didn't get paid until last week when she finally got her EAD.

Not getting paid isn't much of an option... but I have an SSN so there's no reason they couldn't pay me (besides the being out of status part...)

I dunno. I probably won't do it... I'm sure my wife wouldn't be ok with it. But I still have to give notice to my current employer anyway, which would bring me past my interview date. Whatever, I'm just getting frustrated that it seems most other people got theirs except me. Especially considering I have one of the most straightforward cases you could possibly have. Nothing special, already married two years, easily meet the income requirement. Our AOS package was tiny compared to many I've seen. ARGH!

I guess, but I don't care about the stupid interview, it means nothing for me. I only filed so I could change jobs.

Hmmmm I'm still not getting any USCIS e-mails or text message alerts. I just can't figure out why. I have the account created with a legitimate e-mail address and cell phone number. I got the account verification e-mail just fine. Sigh...I guess I'll have to call the USCIS to check why this is happening.

I think is somehow normal.. I haven't seen any changes either.... I have called many times for that... and all they do is read the script.... I guess we just gotta be patient til they decide to update it....
