Help -I -751 Address issue

Hello Everyone,

We are planning to submit our I-751 application to remove conditions soon. I need a little help with Question 9 in Part 03. My husband (the applicant) works out of States about 3 hours away and comes home every weekend. We have tried to find employment opportunities for him near our home with no luck and decided to accept a job out of state. I am planning to move to where he is now when my contract is over at the end of this year. We have a few questions regarding our situation:

1. what should we list as his address? should we list our home address( where I live and which is listed in all our supporting documents) as his permanent address and not mention his temporary addresses (3 places) he stayed in last two years for work purposes.

2. Is working away from home viewed as a negative thing when filing for I-751?

Any insight you have on this matter would be appreciated.

I view this like a college student or anybody else that is living some place for a few months. Ask your self this question, "Where does your husband consider home or the place he calls his perment place of residenance?" That is the address I would use. I really hate that we as immigrants or spouses to immigrants even have to consider this. If you were a "normal" couple not subjected the someone deciding your fate, this would be a non-issue as you are doing this for economic reasons. The same holds true for having the foreign spouse on the mortgage of a home loan--why do it just to satify some government nim-rod whose relationship, if they even have one, would not stand up to the same scrunity as they are putting yours under. Okay, I'll get off my soap box.

If your relationship is ligit, it will pass and soon you will be done with USCIS. So do not worry, you have a good reason and when asked you will give it--end of story.

Hi Dave,

Thanks for your input and kind words. So true..We have a plenty of evidence to show co-mingling of financial resources, vacations together, health/life/car insurance, retirement accounts together etc and a joint lease. We were a little worried about whether we should list the address where he rent out a room for the work week in addition to our permanent address. After reading your comment I think we should just list our home address as that is what we both consider our permanent residence.
