First off I'd like to say HI to all of you on this site. :) May we all achieve our American Dream!!

My question is my husbands green card has the last name wrong so we were told by uscis support center that we needed to take his birth certificate with us next time we go back to the office but that it needs to be translated to english I'm wondering can I do it or do I need to pay someone else to do it? Have any of you been in the same situation?

For my wife's paperwork, anything that needed translating had to be done by a third party professional translator and certified/apostiled. My wife is a certified translator and we thought we could save money by having her do it, but it was not allowed.
