Vetting Officer Job Description

The Vetting Officer is a member of GlobalSign’s Global Client Services and Vetting Team, responsible for ensuring that customer created applications meet the company’s strict security policies. The candidate should be legally residing in the United States and have all the required government documents in order to apply to this position. Key Responsibilities

• The vetting process requires quick execution, so the officer needs to be able to progress efficiently, and to be well organized in order to track multiple simultaneous applications.

• The ability to apply procedure-driven tasks to process certificate applications, ensuring compliance with GlobalSign's strict security policies.

• The vetting officer must be comfortable with communicating with customers from around the globe with tact and diplomacy, and be able to project a professional image. The ability to speak two or more languages would be a distinct advantage.

• Some interpretation of customer and organizational authentication guidelines may be required and the applicant must apply sound reasoning to reach decisions and be prepared to record and defend decisions made.

• Researching, investigating and resolving customer technical issues. This involves frequent written and verbal communication with customers.

• The agent will work as part of the team with initiative, drive and good humor. The workload will fluctuate and the officer must be able to respond flexibly. Shift work may be required. Rotating on-call duties are required.

• Interpret instructions and issues arising and implement actions according to company policy and procedures.

• Develop a thorough understanding of all GlobalSign products. Vetting Officers are expected to propose and document suggestions for improvements to the vetting and policy authority.

Skills & Qualifications

• Associates Degree or previous customer support experience required.

• Portuguese/ Spanish speaking candidate highly desired.

• Basic knowledge of PKI and SSL technology helpful.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Able to manage multiple priorities with an exceptional eye for detail.

• Sound organizational and interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus.

• Good problem solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.

• Works well under pressure and meets deadlines.

• Extensive knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, Adobe products, and the Internet environment.

• Must successfully pass a background check to achieve and maintain trusted employee status.
