Moscow New Procedures

Filed: K-1 Visa Country: Russia

I have a question that I can't find an answer to online.

Moscow has recently changed their K1 visa interview procedures. However, the embassy hasn't updated their website.

I paid for a service fee of $240 using my credit card. The website also states that I need to bring a DHL airway bill. However, when I called the Moscow embassy helpline, they said that I don't need it - the service fee is enough.

Could you please advise me whether I need to go pay anything at DHL?

Also, I scheduled the interview online. Do I only need to print out the confirmation page, is that enough to enter the embassy? As far as I understand, I won't be getting any invitation in the mail, right?

Thank you SO much in advance for your help!

PS Fun fact - when the embassy sent me an information letter, they sent it to appt 2 instead of 21. Thank God the neighbors there know my Dad. So those of you who had the mail from the embassy lost, don't necessarily blame the Russian post system :D
