Hello all.

My petition for relative alien (I-130) is pending, and to stay ahead of the game, I want to prepare documents that will be submitted with I-864.

I will be ordering tax transcripts. There are several type of transcripts available from IRS and among others, 3 of them are:

* Return transcripts - processed in 10 days

* Account transcripts - processed in 30 days

* Record of Account - processed in 30 days

FYI, I have amended my 2010 tax returns to change filing status from "single" to "married filing separately" after my husband had noticed the mistake after my accountant had already filed the return. After reading information on IRS website, it appears that Return Transcripts do not show any changes to the case after they were filed, so I am thinking that it will not show the changes to filing status. This worries me since whomever will be processing the papers, will see the wrong status on transcrips.

Could anybody who has ordered Return Transcript, tell me if the filing status is shown on the transcript? And if anybody had amended returns, where the changes shown on the Return Transcripts?

There are also Account Transcripts and Record of Account available to order from IRS, which both take about 30 days to get. The former shows any adjustments that have been made to the return, while the latter, combines info from Return Transcripts and Account Transcripts.

Please let me know what you think.

Thank you in advance.
