Hi,

I keep reading about NOA's, AOS, and IV Packets, and "associated fees". Is there a place that lists out the steps of the application process with the associated fees for each step? I have also noticed that the application for immigrant at the home embasy also requires a fee, is that paid in the US by the petitioner or abroad by the beneficiary.

Thanks in advance,

CF

Found this in the USC side, but I think it also applies:

These are the current fees all the way through the ten year green card. An addition to the government fees, there is 3-5 hundred bucks for medical exam and vaccinations.

Month 4-6 Dept. of State Affidavit of Support Processing Fee $88.00

*Does not apply to IR1 or IR2

First off as of April 13, 2012 all Visa Application fees have changed.

Second, I did not know about DS Affidavit of Support Processing fee.(per USCIS website I-134 Affidavit of Support has no filing fee.)

Lastly here is a price list I have compiled through various research

Intial filing fee is $340.00US for K-1 Nonimmigration visa.

The Medical Exam fees are combined for 285,000 COP. Does not include fees for needed vaccinations. This is approximately 154 US dollars.

The K-1 Nonimmigrant Visa Application fee is $240.00US.

The Adjustment of Status/Biometric fee is $1,070US. Biometric fee is like 85-95 dollars.

I have not looked up ROC fees so I could not tell you.

The total cost is approximately $1804.54US from Initial filing to Adjustment of Status. If there is an additional 88 dollar fee for Affidavit of Support, then add that in to the $1805.

My information is dated as of May 20, 2012.

Per USCIS website for i-864 filing fees:

"Although USCIS does not charge a fee for this form, the Department of State does charge a fee when the Affidavit of Support is reviewed domestically. This does not apply when the Affidavit of Support is filed abroad" When the I-864 Affidavit of Support is filed domestically then there is a filing fee of $88.00US. This per the travel.state.gov website.

The I-864 gets filed with the AOS so it is incurred after she arrives in the states.
