Hi all,

Please help me out here. I am married to a USC. he had one previous marriage 10 years ago to a lady which he had no idea about her immigration status. All what he knows is that, She is not a USC, she is originally from Trinidad and Tobago, she didn't have a green card either, but she had a social security number which is shown on the devorce decree. He has no contact with her so we don't know how to reach her to verify her status. now I have no idea what to fill Part8-G-2 in the application. Please help. Thank you all.

If you cannot get her status information you can write "unknown" on the form and it should be fine. Since you have her SSN, USCIS should be able to track that information if it is really important to them.

Thank you for the reply. Hopefully, the word "Unknown" will be good enough.

Like the previous blogger said - "unknown." I would also give the ssn. USCIS can find out anything they need with a ssn. Don't get stressed out over that. The most important thing is to be truthful at all times.

I wish you a speedy journey.
