Yes i am a UK citizen.

We have spoken about the option of marriage and have said its something we would both do, as we are extremely happy but we just wanted to see if there were any other lighter options in the mean time.

Will probably give the B2 extension a go.

July 2005 - met my awesome, hot, amazing love in Lousiana.
July 2006 - Married said love and moved to Canada.
June 2011 - Entered US to visit family, decided to stay.
Feb. 2012 - Sent paperwork to Chicago.

May 2012 - Received green card.

Why do you say that jdh!?

I mean from looking at your timeline, you didn't mess around when it came to marriage!??

I say it because you are clearly unsure and I would never recommend someone to commit to marriage unless they are 100% absolutely head over heels infatuated with the love of their life.

Getting a green card should not be a part of that equation. :thumbs:

Honestly, separating for a while may be the best thing for your relationship. People who can handle a long distance relationship and still be in love are well prepared for some of the knocks and bumps that come in marriage.

It may give you a little more solidarity in how you feel about it long term... that or you will realize it isn't true love after all and move on. :)
