after visa issued 6 months to leave??date flexible??

hi just wondering when the visa is issued there is a six month window to exit the country??what happens if more than six months is required?? maybe due to family emergency??visa cancelled??need to start new petition all over again? this is pertaining to the manila embassy thank you joe

Yeah, good question. I wonder if it's possible to arrange for a later interview date than the one scheduled, or be granted some sort of extension on the visa, so it doesn't run out before it's actually used!
