Certificate of Citizenship confusion

Hi,

Section 13 of the I-130 asks if I obtained a certificate of citizenship through my parents. I was born abroad to an American mother and received a passport back then (in the 80s). I don't believe I ever got a certificate of citizenship as an infant and if I did, I don't have it anymore. Does it suffice to put my US passport number down? My current passport is obviously not the original I got as an infant in the 80s. Its date of issuance was 2003. Does that matter?

Thanks for your help!

Your asking if you should put your US passport number in the Naturalization certificate section?

No

Never Put something where it should not be. It doesn't ask for a passport number.

You include a photocopy of every page in your passport with the petition if you are using that as proof of citizenship.
