hi

i hv my k1 visa interview next month at delhi embassy...i dont hv a birth certificate(was not registered) instead i got non-availability certificate...which certificate should i submit along with it as a proof of birth. My school and college certificates hv DoB and parents name on them but none of them hv place of birth written on them??? will it b a problem at interview???

Since you don't have the birth certificate, along with the nonavailability certificate, you're supposed to get one affidavit from each parent about your birth as well as an affidavit each from any two witnesses who were around at the time of your birth. School and college certificates don't really matter. It is mandatory to get these affidavits if all you have is an nonavailability certificate.

thanx for the reply...

i got affidavits from both of my parents stating date and place of my birth....do i need to get same affidavits from 2 other people also??? i was going to attach my matriculation certificate along with it (it has DoB,parents name on it but no place of birth on it) ???
